This Weekend's Gospel
There Is a Place for Everyone in the Lord's Vineyard
In this weekend's Gospel (Matthew 20:1-6) the landowner goes out throughout the day inviting people to work in his vineyard. God also calls each of us to play our part in his work, whatever our age, background or experience.
Sharing our faith does not require us to have all the answers. We can begin in small and natural ways:
- Invite a friend or family member to come to Mass with you.
- Offer to pray for someone who is struggling.
- Speak simply about how your faith helps you in daily life.
- Show Christ's love through patience, kindness and forgiveness.
- Share parish events and invitations with others.
- Welcome someone who is new or returning to church.
- Pray each day for someone who feels distant from God.
There is a place for everyone in the Lord's vineyard — and sometimes a simple invitation is all someone needs.

Join the Committee for Interreligious Dialogue of the Bishops' Conference of Scotland for a special one-day conference. Talks from Fr John Gannon, Fr Jim Lawlor and Joe Sikora, covering the history and importance of Nostra Aetate, the place of interreligious dialogue in parish life, and practical guidance for parishes.
